01 — The story so far
Fourteen years on the same problem.
In 2012, I was editing video for a living and kept running into the same problem: there were no media asset management tools built for prosumer creators. Enterprise MAM systems cost hundreds of thousands. Consumer tools didn't exist.
I spent six years trying to build it myself — a general-purpose media player on ffmpeg, PostgreSQL-based metadata sharing over LAN. In 2018, I hit the limits of what one person could build alone and stopped.
I founded Cyberseeds in 2019 to carry the work forward. Five slow years of nights-and-weekends development followed — plus a pandemic. I shipped MediaQue v1 in 2024. Few users, later pulled. But I learned what video pros actually need: not "switching between clips," but finding the right moment in long recordings.
That insight became NexClip AI. And in early 2025, something changed — I started using AI-assisted coding, and the velocity of what one person could build shifted fundamentally.
